Do the MarcusI wonder what those "smiley and stupid" people you were talking about during the I'm From Barcelona concert would think about this cover.
Would they think it's a keen allusion to them?
Adventure Kid -
Robots singing We're from Barcelona
Chihuahua
I sent you a sms from the Arlanda Express at 6 am. It was still raining on Stockholm. I received another one from you some minute later. It made me feel warm.
Meanwhile, I met the Rough Bunnies at the airport. I entroduced myself as their personal driver for the italian tour, and I don't think they got much of the humour at that hour in the morning.
The flight was a little late and we were waiting smiling in silence. Around us people were having breakfast. I was still feeling the rain we caught walking all over the town the night before, and I definitely needed to sleep more.
When the Bunnies and me took our seats on the airplane, Frida asked me if I wanted to listen to some new song from her ipod. Of course I said yes, and the first one she played was
Chihuahua. I was a little astonished.
Under the sun there are clouds
and under the clouds there's lots of rain.
Under the rain stand me
and I stand under your control.I was leaving Stockholm once again. The possibilities to meet you again were about zero. I was not supposed to be sad, for all the reasons we know.
Now that song was there, in my head, under the rain outside the airplane window, under the clouds, under the sun above the clouds.
And suddenly I wanted so much to listen to that song with you. And I wanted so much to hug you even if we didn't kiss.
Damn indiepop nerd!
(The lyrics on the mp3 Frida sent me are different because that girl in the song then became her ex girlfriend, so she wanted to change the story. But I think that it is still a little lovely song, and that it was so perfect to listen to it that morning.)
