MinefieldYou translated a swedish song for me, so I decided to translate an italian one for you. It's a song from the band who gave me this badge. Their name is
Amari, which in italian could mean two things: it's the plural of the adjective "bitter", but also could mean certain liquors.
Amari used to be hip hop, but now they play more instruments, and they're funny. They remember me something of the Bran Van 3000, do you remember that band? The lyrics of the Amari are often surreal, but this song is not one of that. Its title is
Campo minato, which means "minefield". This is one of the song of my summer, even if it's definitely not indiepop, and even if the record will be out at the end of september. I've been listening to it so much since june, I can't believe the others spent the summer without it.
I've posted an mp3 of
Campo minato so you can listen to it
here.
You can watch more odd badges at the Amari website: http://www.riotmaker.net/shop.html

«It's a minefield, the records you listen to, the books you read, sometimes the movies you watch, I often think I've already heard all your light sentences, the ones that you prepared for today too, it will come also for us the moment to go out in the evening, wasting time, trying on clothes in front of the mirror, you choose the records, sometimes you sing them, in front of the mirror you stare at me, probably also tonight we will go out slamming the door. It's a minefield, two steps forward and one foot back, it's a minefield, if only I knew to walk on points. Your unvaried speeches that I will have to finish, intent on avoiding old buried mines, contradicting, surprising, astonishing, how many games we play before we realize that every time we fall down it's being hurted in a new way? What will we do when the new clothes are over? The clothings matches that you usually do, when do you try on them? It's a minefield, two steps forward and one foot back, it's a minefield, if only I knew to walk on points...»
yeah, I know, it's a second hand link but I have to quote it:
What's wrong with being a Rock Snob?
Reason #102 to not wear a "I'm shy, kiss me first" bagenaive 19 year old swedish girls (who only drink cheap red wine without nyponsoppa) really do kiss you
101 reasons to not wear a "I'm shy, kiss me first" badge The little blonde one said:
"You are two dorks".
And then keep up drinking her nyponsoppa and vodka.
The three young girls were finishing the entire bottle of vodka in one round. And we didn't even drink a drop.
Me and Lucio didn't know what to answer, and I was thirsty too.
She continued:
"Oh, but I like dorks", and then made a bright smile to us.
I started to write again on my other blog. The first thing I wrote sounds like "when you've nothing to say, and you don't know what to write, just think of Sweden".
My diary
it was stolen
they're laughing at me now
internet
make me famous
they downlode me file by file
As dumb as I am,
I can't understand
what I should do
'couse everything turns out wrong
and now everybody knows
what I said to you
what you said
what you said
Becouse you are there:
page three
and on to fortytwo
a quote,
what you said
was mean but so obvious
As simple as I am,
I can not understand
how shuld I behave
'couse everything turns out wrong
And the way you look at me
correspond pretty well
with how I look at me,
so call me cp
call me gay
It might be wrong
but a good metaphor
for who I am
what I am
I found your swedish matches in my bag.
It's a small black box with "matches" written in red on it.
I didn't cut yet that Rasslebygd bracelet.
By the way, listening to Gershwin on the third channel of the public radio is totally indiesnob.
They're called raspberry in english by the way
A cheap monday spent practicing nerdismI spend the afternoon posting on the web digital pictures taken at the festival.
Then I begin checking other websites and forum.
You were right: I wouldn't have spotted you anywhere.
Friends at the phone: someone is still away for the summer holidays, someone else is already back to work and busy.
Evening home alone, it's raining. While washing dishes, the radio plays The Radio Dept.
It's everything so cliché I feel I have to start laughing.
Then a little dance until my room, where I fall on the bed and finish reading
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I listen to the records I bought at the festival and this remind me that you promised to translate the lyrics of
Kalla mig by the Vapnet.
Would my life be better and more satisfying if I would buy
Cheap Monday jeans?
Can one summer be summarized in a night?
Can two DJs play every song that you've ever wanted to listen to in four hours?
Can you be more wannabe indiesnob?
Hello.
Welcome to what could be one the most boring place you've ever been.
This is where a girl and a boy have a tea, on sunny afternoons.
It's a place near water, which is not so remarkable, because they actually find themselves in Stockholm.
I think they are trying to remain enough indiesnob to not become romantic in vain, or
emo, as someone could say.
They are definitely indiepop. One with smiles and style, the other with loads of words punching each other and stopped only by a kiss.
They always talk about "things we have forgotten" and sometimes they come here to have a tea and remember them.
