Last friday Johan from Suburban Kids With Biblical Names officially named me "
swedaholic".
And finally it's time for popaganda againLast year I wasn't able to be there more than the first day, so today I'm happy.
Allthough it constantly rains here (it always do that when it's popaganda, I have no idea why)
So - now I'm of, I plan on getting at least three colds in the rain tonight
And finally the heat arrived in town, to remind me that the another summer is getting close.
Last night I saw a concert by the british band The Chalets, and despite they are quite superflous, they have this little song that repeats: "every summer, every summer is shorter / you're getting, you're getting older", and I couldn't get it out of my head all the day.
I felt the summer coming while walking home from a bar where I had played records until aimlessly late, passing through the old dirty streets near the university, full of people wasting time, and passing through the empty arches of Strada Maggiore.
I felt the summer coming, when I was smelling the smell of the linden trees in the soft evening breeze, and I was wearing just a t-shirt, and I had finished work earlier.
I felt the summer coming and I would like to have new music playing all around.
Sometimes you've been nostalgic and melancholic for so long, that you almost forget why you were feeling this way. And you would really start all over again.
Well, it looks like it's a really great and funny spring for the both of us, eh?
I would like to have a house on my own right now, so I could make one of our "indiesnob wannabe tea" for you. And while we would talk politely, like two complete strangers, I'd play in the background some of the new cds I just bought from Sweden. Probably I would say something clever as "oh, look, the days are getting longer!" watching out the window. And maybe, if we would talk slower, little by little, we would feel better and stop thinking there is something wrong with ourselves.
I don't know what to wright here right now. I just want to wright 'couse everything sucks right now and I have no idea what to feel or how I feel. Do I take everything for granted? I don't know. I don't know much right now.
Whats so fucking wrong with me?
I would like to be able to write something here. Tell you about the beautiful people at the festival in Huskvarna and the trip to Malmo and that long night. Maybe it would be good for me.
But I'm lazy and tired these days. I can't sleep and I always wake up before the alarm clock rings. And we're having a cold rainy spring down here.
I do all the things I usally do. Go to work, talk, write tons of emails, listen to music, play records in some bar and at my club, go to concerts around Bologna.
But it's like an "empty me" doing all these things. And somehow I don't know where I am.
By the way, I just want to say again that your message made me happy and smile, and feel warm for a while.
Ciao from Italy.
